Title: Ant's Easystar and groundstation
Post by: ak47 on April 30, 2011, 04:53:39 PM
Hey all

Too damn windy to fly today so i thought i would share my pics of my first FPV set up i have just completed.

Its basically your standard 'modified' easy with a big rudder, 40A noise frendly speed controller and blackmantis brushless motor. All electrics run off the one Turngy 2200mah 3 cell and i have fitted a EZOSD in the nose. All up weight 2.2lb.

Ground station is a foam filled case (really cheap at Maplins by the way, bout £12 if i remember right) with cut outs for my VR1400 goggles and Archos AV500. AV500 uses a travel adaptor instead of the lumbering big docking station that needs an additional power source. Vrx is mounted to case lid with a hole for the rubber duck to screw into, but i have a couple of cloverleaf antenna on there way.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone out there who has helped me along the way over the last couple of months. You know who you are so i wont embarrass you  :D.

Cheers

Ant

Very nice - quite fancy one of those cases myself.

Your EasyStar is in awfully good condition - can you do me a favour and bash it up a bit? You know, to make me look a bit better  ;D

Steve - you know what i reckon i will be able to do that for you  :)

Its only had 4 flights so far but it will end up having a hard life. Ill post a pic in six months !

Thanks for the comments guys. Think i will have to get Ursus to keep my Easystar company - besides if i stuff the star i need an airframe to keep FPVing - its addictive stuff!
