Title: How to connect 2 aerials ?
Post by: Hubie123 on June 16, 2014, 01:01:20 PM
Hit all Bit of a newb question

If I have a Boscam 600mw tx and rx  and If I was to buy a set of the new  fatsharks which are also 32 channel and I put a nimrod on the goggles and a helicoil on the Boscam will both aerials work giving me close range and then distance ? Or do I need something to bring them together like a diversity splitter joiner etc  and save me buying another dual tx with twin Aerials ?

Spot of confusion there. You use only one vtx. A diversity rx is essentially two rxs, hence two aerials and the internals of the rxs sort out which received signal to use at any one time. Two vtxs would interfere with each other, especially being in such close proximity on a model.
Also you cannot simply use two rxs feeding into one monitor or set of goggles. For two rxs to work together they have to be specifically designed as diversity rxs with a single video output.

Also fatsharks don't have 32 channels either so your getting mixed up there as well, maybe your refering to Skyzone giggles with dual antennas / diversity ?
