Title: Futaba T7c would not hold a charge.

Not unusual when the Nicad battery suffers black wire syndrome.

You may get away with cleaning with Glass Fibre pen and then applying conformal solution.

Glassfibre pen hmm, I'll just look that up on Amazon, of course I will need a new battery as well. They don't make em like they used to the battery in my Macgregor A series is 37 years old and still holds a good charge, this Futaba is on it's third battery.

Hi, I use the same model and the battery packed up awhile back.
I now use a 1300mah 3s lipo velcroed on the back and she's as good as new. Any spare 3s would do , especially an old one past its best for flight :)
