Well, sort of a K-Quad! I decided to take Krikey's design and tweak it:

I combined the mid plate and the flight controller plate, added a housing for a Mobius up front and reduced the diameter of the motor mount so the SK3 motors I bought didn't look quite as swamped. The top plate also prints the standoffs so I didn't have to go looking for some on eBay.
The end result looks quite tidy:

AUW is just a touch over 500g. I've got it tuned out in the back garden and the proper maiden should be this afternoon, the elastic bands holding the battery in place are just temporary so I can easily get to the screen while I'm PID tuning. It hovers on about 35% throttle.

2 years later and I just found this!!!! Glad to see (albeit 2 years ago) that the plans were useful. Is it still flying?
