Hi guys,
I've read and seen reviews of the stock whip antenna's that you get with FPV kits aren't really up to much. I've ordered the FS Predator V2 kit with 250mw TX and board camera. I decided to grab a pair of these to see if they're any good. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_2?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acircular+polarized+antenna&page=2&keywords=circular+polarized+antenna&ie=UTF8&qid=1407799265&ajr=2 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_2?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acircular+polarized+antenna&page=2&keywords=circular+polarized+antenna&ie=UTF8&qid=1407799265&ajr=2)
I've since read that some of the cheaper ones are garbage. Anybody have any experience with these cheaper alternatives? If it's not worth me risking them, I'll get a different set.
You have linked to amazon with various sets not the set your looking at so I presume your looking at all of them.
The Spironets are OK
Personally I would PM Bignose13 or Gav on here and get a good quality set for around the same price but without the doubt
Sorry, does this work?

And apologies for posting in the wrong forum. So there are some guys making them on here?
No problem :)
I don`t like those antennas, the fee to them changes the antennas properties, a cloverleaf is kind of old hat now, everyone uses Skew-Planar to Skew-Planar now due to the Skew having better circularity.
Yeah they guys on here make them :
Bignose : http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,13441.0.html (http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,13441.0.html)
Gav : http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,11108.0.html (http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,11108.0.html)
Thanks. I'll take a look.
Your better off sticking with skews mate, you'll get better multiparth rejection with skews and negligible loss of gain
I can make to any length coax and sma you need and like Ian said, you'll know they will work
Pm me if you like more info
Cheers
Thanks for the heads up. I'll send you a PM. :-)
I can vouch for Bignose13s SPs. I have a couple of sets and they are great. Not tried Gavs but they also look very nice and I have heard some good reviews of both.
