With the immersion spironet antennas, which one is supposed to go on your rx, and which on the tx?
I thought the longer one should go on the goggles to provide some clearance from my head, but I appear to be getting superior results in putting it on the plane, with the smaller one on the receiver.
Anyone else?
I think the issue is that the one with the smaller stalk should just have the same length stalk as the rx antenna..
i had same issues, the antenna was to short so it was still obstructed by things on my quad (GoPro, landing gear, other wiring at certain angles to the rx) when I put a longer stalked antenna on it, it gave much more clearance and better picture.
with the rx antenna... you only really need "head clearance" if you're flying behind yourself or to the extreme sides... in which case you can just pan/tilt your head lol. so I think if you're getting better results with the little one on the rx ans the big one on the tx you should stick to that.
I got myself a set of bignose antennas after the spironets, he will make each one as long or as short as you need it, so I did the measurements and sent them to him. they're so much better than the spironets in my opinion
If its the older spiros, gray/black stalks, it says on the underside of the plastic cone which one goes where I thought. The newer, red stalks, are both the same I think.
Although id use them which ever way you are getting the best results anyway. :D

I had the same concern, but after removing the caps, I realised that both of them are the same.. So it doesn't matter..
Unlike most skews/cloverleaf which have 3 blades on the TX and 4 on the RX (Or it might be the other way around), the Spironets don't matter.
Immersion got rid of the SPW/CL mix as it's not been proven to actually be beneficial.
I always found SPW/SPW on both sides to be the best configuration personally.
If you've got the later version (red feeders) they are both SPW so it doesn't matter, if you've got the earlier ones (thinner grey feeders) the one with the longer feeder goes on your noggin (SPW) and the other one (C/L) goes on the craft.
I seem to recall that when I asked Simon he said it didn't matter and that they were entirely swappable, short and short, long and long or short and long. I've swapped them around and noticed no difference.
