Title: FrSky Taranis - Telemetry
Post by: JezUK1 on October 24, 2014, 07:00:55 PM
Hi guys,

Regarding telemetry on the radio I'm assuming it tells you signal strength but can you also get to tell you how much battery power is left in your craft as well as attitude?

It can....... BUT..... it will need the sensors to send the right information.

If you're using Frsky Rx/Tx set u then you would need: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__508__172__FPV_Telemetry-FrSky_Telemetry.html (https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__508__172__FPV_Telemetry-FrSky_Telemetry.html)

for example...

the current sensor/Vario sensor etc etc

What sort of info does this send back to the controller? https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__41608__FrSky_X8R_8_16Ch_S_BUS_ACCST_Telemetry_Receiver_W_Smart_Port.html

Signal strength and RX Voltage off the top of my head - to get more you would need to plug additional sensors into the smart port.....BUT

If you are flying FPV you would want that info on your OSD..... just an after thought!
