Title: 2.4ghz for radio and video. how bad is it?
Post by: nanotouch on June 09, 2011, 12:46:09 AM
hey guys i was just wondering how bad is it to use the same frequency on the radio and video. just thinking of buy the blixer RTF and it comes with a 2.4ghz tx/rx. i only have the money to buy the plane so it will be a month or two after before i buy the FPV system. At that point i could by a 35mgz tx/rx if needs be.

and while i have your attention and i know this is in the wrong area but do you recckon i should get a better motor and ESC stright away?

thanks felix

It can be bad, i tried it just to see for myself.

My account of what happens is real bad interference on the video, that bad i couldn`t fly. If i had increased the video power then i would have jammed my control channels, and it didnt matter what i did to the plane because my radio in my hand was that close to the video receiver antenna you could never get rid of the interference anyway.

Having said that some do get away with it, but if you dont, thats one expensive lesson to learn
