Just finished putting my FPV 250 together, sadly can't fly it until my UBEC arrives as I didn't bother to check if the ESCs had a BEC

The props are going the wrong way tho?.. ;D
Ooops lol! I just threw them on for the pic, didn't check rotation
The motor cables as the are will flap around and could be caught by the props.
Yeah I'm going to shorten them tomorrow, just plugged them in to get the rotation right on the motors
Will solder them tomorrow to get rid of the excess
Just chucked it on the scales, about 525g. Is that a good weight?
half a Kilo? to be honest I'm not too sure. I'm in the process of building my first miniquad and right now, fully loaded but WITHOUT motors or ESCs mine weighs 420g
my motors will add between 72-84g the ESCs another 44g (if the websites are to be trusted) so I'll be in the region of 550g myself. The motors I have get great reviews and are fairly powerful so I'm sure they'll have enough oomph to get my mini blasting around.
take a look at your motors/props and see what thrust they can deliver
Sounds like we are roughly the same weight. All being well I can take it for a test flight tomorrow so will find out about the thrust then
If your stuck for bec I have an afro 12a bec or a seperate ubec in my spares box you can borrow.
That's very generous of you James! I'll see if mine turns up in tomorrow's post, if not then I might well take you up on that
I like my FPV 250,a lot of fun to fly and very tough frame.

my 260 homebrew with a 1550 3 cell and Mobius is 573g rtf

Where are you based?
I have a 250 class coming from Helipal in Hong Kong that is due 23rd Dec.
I'm based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
I'm all the way down in Somerset so a fair way apart!
UBEC arrived yesterday, spent yesterday and today tidying the wiring and connecting the UBEC
managed a quick test flight in the back garden, it feels pretty lively! Needs some trimming but it is too windy at the moment
Just waiting for some better weather so I fly in the open
Nice build!
