So I've been told people who get fpv equipment sent to them are getting their name and address recorded so that they can keep an eye on us and so that they've got people to turn to if something happens. :o ,

My friend was told by people at his club that FPV was banned! Well it's not yet anyway... :)
The only person who records things is leccyflyer, and they're locomotive numbers. I wouldn't worry.
Yada yada, Flying clubs don't like FPV, or some of them don't.

Just to make you paranoid, when I was running my FPV website I installed a module to see who was accessing most and...
#2 was the good old MOD
#1 was very intersting. Only an IP address was listed. Unable to look up the owners. As I am in IT and never senn this it got me intrigued. So googling I found quite a few posts saying the same. By now my stubborn and determine dstreak kicked in so kept on looking through literally hundreds of google pages.
Eventually I found the owner via a chinese dns website that clearly didn't respect security or privacy.
The owner was a marketing comapany with a very normal looking website, but really didn't seem to offer anything. So I looked uo there address to see where it was and it matched that of US Dept of Defense......
Jeez guys, I'm flying a toy foam plane! That's a lot of trouble to go to! On a positive I think its an indicator that someone is being vigilant! If just likes watching fpv videos!
Dont worry its not malicious, they're going to need a load of drone pilots at some point, we're the obvious choice!
