Title: 250 Miniquad ...but which one?
Post by: g4uvz on January 24, 2015, 07:40:49 PM
Thought that it was time I had a go at the mini quad scene.
But the  usual quandary  which one to try ..Have had a look round but most of the UK sites who provide complete kits all seem to be out of stock!..So what is everybody doing?   Don't really want to make multiple orders across the world

I had 3 x cheap sub £20 frames and a slightly larger tricopter..... and hated all of them for one reason - component placement.  It actually made me give up on mini's.

Then this popped up and i loved it... call it marmite: http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,29189.0.html (http://www.fpvhub.com/index.php/topic,29189.0.html)

ZMR 250 is highly recommended, its a clone of the QAV. Great little quad, really enjoying mine.

Heres the parts list I got:

Frame - http://www.banggood.com/H250-ZMR250-250mm-Carbon-Fiber-Mini-Quadcopter-Multicopter-Frame-Kit-p-933185.html (http://www.banggood.com/H250-ZMR250-250mm-Carbon-Fiber-Mini-Quadcopter-Multicopter-Frame-Kit-p-933185.html)

ESCs - http://www.banggood.com/Emax-Simonk-Series-12A-20A-25A-30A-40A-ESC-For-Quadcopter-QAV-250-p-918126.html (http://www.banggood.com/Emax-Simonk-Series-12A-20A-25A-30A-40A-ESC-For-Quadcopter-QAV-250-p-918126.html)

Props - http://www.banggood.com/Gemfan-5x4-5040-Propellers-CWCCW-For-QAV250-Black-Green-p-946065.html (http://www.banggood.com/Gemfan-5x4-5040-Propellers-CWCCW-For-QAV250-Black-Green-p-946065.html)

All UK stock apart from the props.

Then HK for a Naze and some batteries.

You can prob find the props in the UK somewhere.

A couple threads with some links to parts ect:

Hi,
I know a website called radioc.co.uk which sell a few frames such as the ZMR250 and they sell motors like EMAX and DYS ones. It's pretty cheap too.
