Ahh looking superb mate :)
Looks good Gary ''I have just recently fpv my stryker well made up --mine is the brushless verion''
This one is brushless too. 3200kv inrunner with an apc 6*4e. So should shift a bit !! But I only had some cheap 9gr hxt servos - so it will be flown gentle until I can maybe replace them.
Its also my first one fitted with Remzibi OSD, but at the moment I don't have a current sensor - so volts only.
I bought the "repair pack" bare airframe for about £30. It's perfect for this. Just add motor, esc and electrics and she's ready.
As the weather isn't so great I'm hoping to make a start on my EZstar this week.
that's looking good, do you no what sort of flight times, peeps are getting with these.
:) G
Nice G, i put many FPV hours on my Stryker, its a very capable FPV platform.
Mine is still ready to fly as i cant bring myself to stripping it.
Thanks Guys,
Martin - I retired my Skyartec Funjet last week. This is very similar. So it should fly good. and from what I've seen of yours ... !!
I built this ready for when I loose my Multiple funjet (ask bignose!)! It's been gathering dust for ages and I have a new plane arriving soon so I had to get this and the EZstar up and running first. It's a deal I made with myself and incentive to complete. Have a plane for whatever mood takes me. Just swap a few bits around.
Then that's it. No more planes. I've got enough!
I think maybe then I'll spend some more time flying and improving what I have.
I have to agree wit martin.. Gordon this is one very underated platform..with regards to flight times depending on throttle management 10mins+ on board mine I have a ezosd a wdr 600 cam chainlinik rx '' no pan and tilt --I've mounted my lip on the top as to be able to adjust cog..I'm currently using. 2200mah lip.. witch I will be upgrading to 3000 may lio.it carry the extra weight easily...also glides forever
It's most definitely on my airframe shortlist...
Where'd you get the parts Shikra? I tried looking a coupla weeks ago, but gave up due to all the sites being in yankanese
ebay I think. Was about 5 months ago.
need to search "stryker bare painted"
mine was about £30 so probably lucky to get some old stock. Looks like the latest one is out. About £65 now !
I think I would like something that I can have some fun with, and something like this or some sort of wing, could be just what the Doctor ordered. perhaps a winter project.
:) G
Not sure how I missed this thread.
She's looking good Gary, bout time you finished it though, it does make me think about getting one but gonna see what you know what is like first.
Oh and thanks for the dig at loosing a very special friend you git
looking good Gary.
You wont be disappointed with this airframe. In my opinion it flies like a wing and it is a lot quieter, the motorisation is important for the performance, mine is quite lazy but it gives me nearly up to 20 min flying times on a 2200 without pushing it too far...
Forgot to say its been maidened !!
And back in one piece.... I did have some vid quality issue which took the fun out of it. And I realised after I was running a 12v cam on 5v. Maybe that explains the crap vid!
Flew very nice. Launches well. Not recommended as a first plane though
