Flew today with Wayne and Neil in the Chilterns, and we had very short flying window...

Pretty much Ian - though this flight was done on the stand alone receiver - my goggles tethered... I'm sure the 1.3 module will be pretty good too! What I did notice was I was getting some minor interference caused by my UHF. I know this because when I moved the antenna away it went away. Do you know what filter I would need for that...? Otherwise perfect, really enjoying the penetration (since I'm getting none in real life atm :) )

Some use a low pass filter on the Tx but results vary. DVR like the Pocket DVR cause some with 1.3 receivers too. In both cases moving the tx antenna and the DVR away from the 1.3 receiver fixes both issues

Nice Rich, glad you've got that multirotor fad out of your system and are back to the proper stuff.  ;)

Good to have you back man, let's hug it out!

All you need to do now is arrange a MD on a calm day and we'll have that radio tower.

Neil.

Rich, I wanted to ask what VTx you were using and where you got your SP antennas from?

Hi Neil

This is the 800mw I use (I have removed it out of the very big heat sync shown in this) http://www.tecnic.co.uk/800mw-1.2-1.3GHz-8ch-FPV-Video-Transmitter.html (http://www.tecnic.co.uk/800mw-1.2-1.3GHz-8ch-FPV-Video-Transmitter.html)

This is the receiver http://www.tecnic.co.uk/1.1-1.3-GHz-12ch-wireless-Video-Receiver.html (http://www.tecnic.co.uk/1.1-1.3-GHz-12ch-wireless-Video-Receiver.html)

Antennas (though I'm personally keen to try Bignose) http://www.tecnic.co.uk/1.2-1.3GHz-Skew-Planar-Clover-Antenna-Set-RHCP.html (http://www.tecnic.co.uk/1.2-1.3GHz-Skew-Planar-Clover-Antenna-Set-RHCP.html)
