Received my Wipeout wing yesterday so have done a little unboxing video before the build starts.
First impressions are pretty good. Cant wait to get it built and in the air.

Nice video - thanks. I was very tempted by one of these, but just couldn't justify the cost over something like the flyingwings falcon or raven.

If it really does fly like a 55" wing as they claim it will be very encouraging.
If you want one piece of constructive criticism- the voiceover is pretty loud. I had to turn then volume down a fair bit ;)

I have to say from the outset its looking mighty impressive! The quality of the foam and supplied components is seriously high.
A lot of thought has gone into the number and positioning of the spars, its going to be one extremely durable wing!

I kind of think its a bit better to have it louder, so people can turn it down. Rather than quiet so people have to turn it up and struggle to hear it. I will try and balance it out next time and reduce the echo-y noise. (first voiceover ive recorded in the office with wooden floors)
Agree with keeping it loud ... that way you can correct it, but if it's too quiet even at full volume that's super annoying!

I can't help but fear anything that claims the best of both worlds is usually a bit optimistic- but the proof is in the pudding :)
I would love to see an airborne video of it compared to a couple of other planes. Given its a wing- and it's claiming to have the stability and flight times of a big wing with the compact size of a small one- perhaps a flight comparison between it, the TBS Caprihina and perhaps the flying wings Venturi would be a fair comparison?
The cap comes with a recommended power setup too and is a similar price so seems the obvious competitor. And a Venturi or a Z2 would offer the benchmark/gold standard in terms of stability, speed envelope etc?
Comparing a Capi or this wing to a Z2 or Venturi is pointless, they are completely different size and weight.

I am not suggesting we compare a capi to a z2/Venturi. Read what I wrote ;)
The wipeout claims to have some of the advantages of a much bigger wing. It seems reasonable to see if there's truth in this. If Lotus bring out a car which claims the performance of a big BMW- you test the two to compare ;)
And I think the capi is a good competitor for the wipeout. Based on their flying videos, styles, locations etc happy flyers obviously consider TBS a competitor. The capi wingspan is 85cm, the wipeout is 6cm bigger.
With its recommended power setup, the capi is built for slow flying endurance. A 3s batt makes it a mid speed plane. If you want something faster, longer range, or more stable in wind- you can buy the tbs zephyr. The BMW.Z4 and M5 spring to mind.
Happy flyers are obviously trying to "solve" the fpv problem with a single plane, instead of TBS 2 plane option. They offer the wipeout in 3s form and promise long range, long flight times, the kind of stable flying experience you normally expect from a bigger wing. They also offer a 6s option- for real pace and fun. I actually quite like this option. All you need is a couple of wiring harness' and props and you have two very different flying planes. A Lotus Evora+2 with a child seat and a sod off big turbo button.
I therefore think it very reasonable to compare the wipeout to the two planes it's trying to take sales from :)
There are so many "reviews" online by bias sponsored companies it would be really refreshing to see a comparison with a couple of other competitors.
Top gear would be boring without the test track ;)
