Finally got around to producing a decent edit, the video is all flights from 2 days flying in the autumn. Video from a pair of venturis and a TBS disco.

Very nice. Quite handy to be able to hang a quad in the air and launch a friends plane while it obediently waits for you to come back.
Yeah, feels like cheating to me tho, hence my cinetank has a naze with cleanflight. ;)
Some top flying / grass cutting there, really enjoyed that.
What area are you guys from?
Ipswich in suffolk. Glad you liked it!
I feel a venturi road trip coming on!

You know where Ipswich is near Brucey??? Could be a nice warm-up!
I do indeed!
top video, wing looks very solid in the air :)
Where is it near??
Wing flys lovely apart from the autopilot (eagle tree OSD pro) being a pain in the arse to set up properly. Where im retrieving my venturi from the field (my longest walk yet!) i needed to use RTL but it simply wouldnt do what its supposed to. It probably loses 30-40m of height before it finally levels up and comes home...

That's not what you need from an ap.
It's just something that iPeel and myself are planning on buzzing.
That was a long run down the beach, cool stuff
What are you buzzing? Never know we may have already done it ;)

Sealand.
With Ian Davidson and his jet Z2 ??? :D
Abort! Abort! Abort! (Scuppered attempt to reach Sealand.) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNr2E5UGgoo#ws)
Nope', but we will be using OSD's!
Yeah don't think we could keep up with a turbine z2, but we are planning on being in formation for all 22km of the journey

Can iPeel fly for 22km without hitting you ? That would be a seriously epic adventure, I didn't think you really went in for the long range stuff. I'm already looking forward to watching it :)
I have thought about it before, i do now have a plane with theoretically enough range. I think the hardest part will be to actually find it, as it's unlikely to be visible for quite some time. May have to add it as a way point to at least get you heading in the right direction.
i want to fly the length of the orwell from the bridge to the edge of felixstowe docks at mast height, think that would be fun, done about half way so far

I'll be following him so I can keep my distance!
I was building up to this with my last vent until I wrapped it round a goal post, small set back... building back up to it now.
Wasn't into range per say, but with an ap onboard it gives some fallback, I did 6k with out one!

Yeah we'll need to set a waypoint to keep on track, but hopefully will be able to stay low the whole way.
But that's all for another thread, back to your ace flying benny!
