Hi all,
I am not the biggest fan of spektrum products since the dx8 I used to fly with decided it didn't want to talk to my raptor 90 gasser and it went in about 3 years ago. Since then I have flown futaba.
But when I lost my gemini I had a little think and decided to get a dx6 and a couple of bnf's.
Enter blade 180cfx and 200qx.
I have modded the little servo adapter on the 200 qx so it gives battery voltage out. This enables me to plug in a vtx and power the whole thing from a non permanent servo plug

A cheap aomway vtx and there will be a home made skew on it when I get my arse in gear.
The whole thing weighs just 71g more with a möbius on it.

I got a cheap peli case knock off from maplin, cut some foam and ended up with this portable case of spektrum fun.
The little imax charger is plenty for the small packs both things use and runs off a car battery/ cigar lighter or leisure battery I also have a little laptop power supply for bench charging.

We have a motor home so this will be stowed in a locker when we go away the rest of the time the case will be in the car.
The 200 qx flys surprisingly well with the extra weight and the whole package came in at the same price ( or there abouts) as a replacement gemini.
I need to rehone my heli skills as my thumbs have got too used to quads and I am a shockingly bad heli pilot as a result.
Have fun

That's looks great.
I was looking at my tranny case wondering if my 180 would fit in it.
Not a bad idea lol
The 180 is pretty close to the t-rex 250 in size I was shocked how big it was especially as the only thing in my heli fleet that I fly regularly was a nano cpx only has a couple of test hovers with it so far but it seems pretty powerful for a small heli... I don't think it would fit in a standard tx case especially if it had a tx in there too.

180 flies great.
Very very stable.
It's the only bnf straight out the box that will do a full speed piro with pitch pumps and stay in the same spot I've had.
Not even a slight drift.
I fly my Nano most think.
Perfect fit for garden lol
Finished the skew/ mad mushroom style antenna.
So now I hope the banks won't induce any picture break up.

Just a quick spray with plasticoat will see it complete.
