i think you have the wrong section.
and your problem could be the pot in the controller? isn't that why spektrum recalled a load of models?

Never heard of this affecting the Dx6i. The Dx8 has had a fair bit of "issues".  Can't say I've heard of this, but if you are concerned, get in touch with Horizon Hobby, they are famed for outstanding customer service.

I can vouch for customer service from horizon. All my gear is out of warranty, my system wouldn;t bind. They replaced the TX mainboard, and replaced the stock AR6200 with a brand new DSMX one, and refunded  the other as it had been discontinued.
All I did was pay postage :) The throttle cut button has a slight delay, and the response times very with ESCs and motors.

Send it to them, use the model shop you bought it from with a discription of the problem. If there is something wrong, they'll fix it.

are you going by the sound of the motor???
remeber sound takes a while to reach you, full throttle on my SW to nothing and its about 350ft way it takes almost a second to hear it

+1.  This had me a few times early on in FPV.  I'd open the throttle expecting to hear the motor, and hear nothing for a second or more!  Took a while to twig.

also, are you fixed wing or heli? Certainly, my heli can "kite" meaning I have to drop the stick well below the normal hover point to descend as the breeze is making the blades act like a big wing :)
