Thanks- yes I've discovered that small fast planes are much easier to fpv than LOS!!

Hi Krikey- Zippy compact 1500ma 35c.
No - it seems to be around 0-10 forward of the step.
Much better nose heavy than bum heavy ;D
that's interesting. The manual says 10mm back and I was looking at putting a 2200 lipo onboard. I'll go for balance on the step then perhaps.

Hi Krikey , I use Zippy compact 2200 25c's with no trouble BUT have not tried them with the extra load of fpv kit. I will try though since the only additional weight is the vtx and a bit of wire which can't amount to much. The Zippies are around the 160g mark.
I DO have the battery back as close to the esc though. Its definitely front heavy at this but will still fly great.

hmm 8 seconds of runway, admittedly sticky water. Did you deliberately hold off on rotate as that's quite a long runway.
Krikey
I went to a meet on the weekend where a few guys had them and they were able to take off much more quickly
flew mine today from grass and it flew wonderfully. rotated after a few seconds even with a 2200 lipo. quiet too. now need to FPV it.

Hi Krikey,
mine has seemed a bit under powered compared to the other ones I've flown with.
The 2200 battery is only a 25c and seems to lack punch . The new 1500 35c's I just got are much better though. You have to fpv it though -they're great!

I may try some 4s in this later to see how much faster I can get it.
