I built a fuse out of depron to build a Cub style plane also. Still fly it and really solid.
The Vulcan wing will be a perfect FPV model and will document the conversion. I'll get it ready for Mad Dogs weekend in May if anybody is interested.

That looks like a fun project, good luck. I'm not sure how much room there'll be for FPV stuff though.

We saw the actual vulcan fly by a couple of Mad Dogs back ( FBS really does pull out all the stops ), if you want to full effect you'll need about 100 black smoke generators strapped to the back of it!
