This was from last week. Flying at Kirkleatham with Keith. Just sticking within the parks limits (ish)
Nothing special, just a relaxing fly

Nice one mate - was itching for you to fly through that little monument arch :) :)
Nice to see you've pretty much sorted the yaw wag as well
Nooks like fun!
It's easy to forget just how quick that thing is- it's only when you flew a little lower towards the end that you realise it's propanlu doing 60-80mph most of the time.
Which motor are you running now btw Ian? I know you Tried a 2700 and 3000kv.
I still have an unbuilt skyfun in the loft. I'm tempted to go mental with it, wack a fairly big motor on there and convert it to 6s. Will borrow more than a few of your ideas from your build thread. The only prop is my landings are a bit heavier than yours and the skyfun isn't the most robust of things. My cap has survived about 20x the damage the skyfun has.
Finally have you considered fitting wing tips to yours? May increase low speed lift a bit? Unless they pose disadvantages that I'm unaware of? (Admittedly quite likely.....)
Yeah the foam is really brittle. My 6s one has lots of carbon and is then laminated. I wasn't sure how well the lam would take to this type of foam, but it works really well

Yes both Keith and myself were saying once your up a bit you loose all sensation of speed. In some parts it was hitting 100mph.

I`m using the 3000 with a 4.75x4.75 prop now. Not really an increase in top speed, but much better resolution in amps getting there so I can save loads of lipo when not at WOT.

I did consider it, but thought there was not really any advantage worth bothering with, once I clipped the vertical fins the waggle was gone. The only problem I have now is the MFA AP can not adjust its PID`s, so a good setting for low speed does not translate up to high speed very well.
