I would say I'm pulling my hair out but unfortunately that's all gone already
I am just setting up an APM 2.5.2 on my laptop just via the usb to make sure all components work before mounting
I have a crius neo-6 gps ver 3.1 which works fine on u-center - i have changed the baud to 38400 and get good quick lock on U-center
However connecting to the 6 pin gps port on the APM all I get is power light , have tried swapping tx and rx round but still no joy
I have even tried fitting the Current sensor and putting a battery on as well in case its a power issue but nothing
I have not run through all the setup as obviously its not mounted in anything , but I'm pretty sure it should see the GPS on the flight data screen
Any suggestions ???
:yikes:
You arent actually going to get it sorted are you ?
:bravo:
Few dumb questions - I actually have 2.6 and 3.1 mini pro but let's try:
1. To get GPS lock you must have clear view of the sky, you did take it outside right?
2. Did you try to connect it to Mission Planner, what message do you get?
Yes taken outside to get lock - but no gps fix at all
Mission planner does not even see the GPS
I know the GPS is fine as get very quick lock in u-center on my PC
I usually get one of the two messages:
1. Bad GPS in fat red letters
OR
2. GPS 3D FIX
So the process of elimination would be if you have spare set:
1.Try different cable
2. Try different GPS module
3.Try different APM
I hope you know that you should not connect the power at the same time from the power module and from ESC/BEC and also never to connect power when you connect your APM via USB cable to PC
