First of all I would like to say, this may be my first post on this forum but the many hours I have spent reading and learning on here have been highly useful, so thanks to everyone for all the great input that is put in by everyone!
After a long time of research and a long time of saving up I have finally purchased the EzUHF system. Today I received:
1x – EzUHF transmitter
1x – EzUHF 8ch lite receiver
2x – 459mhz antennas
Being from the UK I want to run the system on 459mhz. Upon arrival of the equipment I immediately installed "ImmersionRC Tools Firmware Updater v1.15" on my Windows 7 PC.
1st thing to do was to install the latest UK firmware on the transmitter (Version 1.24 UK Version) – Here is where my issues start, I have been following the instructions that are both on here and on the ImmersionRC website. All drivers are installed correctly as far as I can figure out.
So I have entered the "Firmware update" mode by pressing the bind button, turning the switch to high output and connecting the USB. I then enter the ImmersionRC firmware updater and select the EzUHF device. Next I go to the program tab and update the firmware by selecting it from the location where I saved it on my HD.
Once installed I get a little "success" label. Next the PC makes the "you have unplugged your USB device" noise, immediately followed by the "you have plugged in your USB device" noise. Next I click on the configure tab, I try and select "frequency band" and the option to select 459mhz is simply not there, I have the option to select:
• 431-433mhz
• 433-435mhz
• 435-437mhz
• 436-438mhz
Also, once the I have updated the firmware the "COM Port" tab at the bottom of the page changes from "No device found" to "ImmersionRC USB to UART (COM12)" – I find this very confusing...
Can someone please help me with the whole procedure start to finish to install the UK firmware on the transmitter.
Also, I seem to have exactly the same issue with the 8ch lite receiver, any guidance would be massively appreciated!

I am doing the same thing right now.
I believe that everything you have done is correct and that is the same thing I have done.
I think everything is as it should be.
As we are in the UK we do not get to choose between 4 frequencies in the configure tab. I think this is an option for people who are able to use 431-438.
We have to flash our firmware to get to 459 as it also reduces us down from 500 mw to 100 mw
So long as you have flashed both your tx and rx, your probably done.

Sanders is usually pretty quick to answer anything.

This is the websites rule to ensure we don't post naughty stuff.
Anyway, all it means is that you mW is reduced to UK legal limits, but you still have a long range system.

Thanks for your input! Very pleased to say that everything is working 100% perfect now ;D
Turns out that the whole procedure i was doing was correct but the latest firmware was not compatible with the Lite receiver! So after a couple of quick discussions with Sander off FPVLAB.com and Simon from www.firstpersionview.co.uk (http://www.firstpersionview.co.uk) i managed to get some new firmware for the Lite receiver.
Seriously impressed with both ImmersionRC's and Simons customer support, I thin it only took about 4 days start to finish!

I take it that you have read the manual on the immersion site and have over come the usb part of it ?
once you have the tx talking to your pc on com 4 ignor the drop down menu on the config page and then click on the program tab next to it at the top of the page
click on update software and then it should take you to file where you stored your down loaded files which will include the rx software as well where you can choose which version you want (the uk one) file tx500_uk.fw

Yeah got the payment super quick thanks i have just rembered that i have some 2.4 antennas which may be of some use to you FREE the next time your passing or if we hook up over the summer
1x yagi (not sure on the db)
1x massive dipole 3ft which was a monster and worked fine on the farm building a few miles away (be warned it is large not sure i would hump it into the field :D)

I thought your set up was great, so good to meet another FPV'er! Also, i forgot to ask you but i didn't know the 305 receivers were compatible with the immersionrc 600mw tx?

They aren't i use both systems the cheap stuff from china which work on odd RF numbers and also the airwaves gear which is even like immersion/airtronics ect

Ahh OK i understand, i just remembered you saying you were running the immersion gear thats all.
Do you have any antennas for the 5.8 stuff as i am going to run 5.8 on my quad i think.
