Title: Compatibility of Hitex X5 with EZ UHF
Post by: sterry on January 09, 2012, 02:50:56 PM
All,

It seems that most people are using Futaba to link to the EZ UHF - i've flown with my 35mhz Hitec X5 system reliably now for years - is the EZ UHF compatible as I would prefer to keep my radio?!

Does your radio have a PPM output?

As far as I know EZ UHF will work with anything that can do that.

Most the Futaba stuff have trainer ports which supply the signal.

Yeah it has a trainer output - I might just have to find a compatible cable and I'm away....!

Worth checking your manual first for details!

Otherwise if you do have to pickup a new radio you can get Futaba 6EXA's relatively cheap off fleabay.

Heres the manual for it -

The ports look similar but the EZ UHF states specifically for Futaba - even if the ports are the same does this mean it still wont work...?
