Title: SO then, Xmas presents - any FPV gear ?
Post by: CurryKitten on December 25, 2015, 11:54:38 PM
Merry Xmas everyone.  I hope you all had a good one and Santa bought you lots of cool stuff.  The question is did anyone get anything RC or FPV in their stocking ?

My wife bought me the Flyingwings mini Hornet wing bundle, so I just need an rx to fly.  Very impressed she managed this - all from visiting Mad Dogs and seeing my fly Rob's prototype one :)

Elsewhere in the family we got my daughter a Sphero - which is a great fun little remote ball, and she got this "Spy Gear" thing which is this little vehicle which has a camera which sends video back to the controller.  Looks like a fun little FPV toy

Wasn't this the job lot on eBay a few weeks back, did you end up buying the whole lot or were you the seller? :P

No FPV goodies for me but I have got some spending money and I'm seriously close to hitting the button one one of Rob's FlyingWings Mini Hornet's, I think they could be a real hoot at Mad Dogs next year judging by the mayhem a few wings and a bit of streamer caused this year!

Interested to see this one fly. I am trying to decide between the Hornet & Shuriken 7.......

Nope nothing at all RC related apart from membership fees money. 😒

Decided I didn't need anything else as I already have a pile of unfinished builds sitting here.

One day I will finish something and be really good at it. 😖

Nah, the small form factor of the Hornet appeals.....

twas just sitting here twiddling my thumbs, staring at the Shuriken thinking of the aero of it. Looks odd.

Looks like with a side slip it would actually make a low pressure blob on the side, wiping out the wing section near the propeller ? , but this might actually help to turn faster. Hmmm
