Flight using a Twinstar 2, 5000ma battery,ezuhf and 1.2 ghz vtx
Wow, that looked such a long way out when you turned to come back, nice one.
PK :)
Brave pills work then :)
Should have landed on the ship :)
Enjoyed that. Well done for flying all that way over water you've bigger ones than i've got. :D
Regards, Mark
Brave flight bud, but I suppose in a way, it's safer out there with nothing to block your signal. Well done. 😀
Great flight, nice to see a take-off and landing as well. Twinstars are such a chilled out airframe that keeps on giving! :funfunfun:
You should see a lot more Twinstar vids coming this spring/summer.
great planes, mine cruised easily to 10km I'm bringing my back to life as we speak

Fantastic video. I think I would have gone 'oh sh*t' if I had seen the trip I had to make back when returning home. It looks a very long way. Plane looks like it performed perfectly. Well done
I still fancy a Twinstar, I've even got the motors and escs for it just never bought the airframe.

Thx lads for all the praise, Yeah it was a bit scary coming back, more so when I could see how far the coast was, but I've got lots of faith in her and shes never let me down yet!! lol (?)
I also increased the gain and throw in the cyclops tornado for elev and ail, as last time she was porpoising and floating left to right a lot.
I didn't get notified of any replies to this thread for some-reason?
brave brave man... I've done a similar flight over swansea bay... from the hospital to the lighthouse and back. the return journey over the water was nerve wracking to say the least
Been thinking of getting a skywalker 1900 tbh, just something different .
well you wouldn't be disappointed
skywalker 1900 or a skyhunter... both are epic and will do you proud :)

Going for my maiden flight this weekend in my new Skywalker 1900. Looks like it's an awesome FpV plane. Just hoping I don't total it on takeoff!!
Love my Skywalker, it's the most docile thing I've flown yet.
Same with the twinstar, a great learners plane tbh.
Hope we get a warm still summer, would love to see how far I can get, just a shame there's a lot of noise around here. But for the summer I've been thinking about flying around high force, maybe follow the river and down over the falls.
Damn that was a long way out, when you turned around the land looked a lot further away :)
Groooovy! Looked beautiful out there.
Cheers
Gav
top video, great to see some long range plank stuff again...
Good job - wouldn't have been too keen on navigating back from that flight without an RTH indicator!!
