If it chatting to a chap at a flying club where I was doing a survey with the inspire and he invited me up for a flight.
I got to witness a rare phenomenon called chasing the glory where flying with the sun behind you the shadow of the plane is seen on the clouds below but if you get the angle of the sun right the shadow has a rainbow ring around it.

We get the glory when FPVing too, ive seen it hundreds of times. It is not a rainbow tho, just a glow around your shadow on the floor.

Lucky chap living out there, loads of opportunity to fly FPV. not like darn sarf where I live everywhere is so built up.
the survey was great fun on it's own without taking a free go in a plane into account. my wife wasn't happy that I was 4 hours late home, but you can't pass up an opportunity like that!

yeah, I've noticed this rainbow thing on my FPV vids when my shadow is on the ground :)

I've been very fortunate myself regarding flights in full size aviation... but that kinda comes with the job ;)
