Please can someone recommend me a cheap OSD with a home direction arrow? I know it means it will need GPS.
Its to go in my dad's mini Skywalker.
Has a look through a few pages on the forum but didn't find related topic.
Cheers
Suppo Pigeon OSD works and is cheap. Not that bulky either.
Cheers Steve :) looks like a Tornado/Storm replica in terms of the display.
The other one i'm looking at is this one at only £18:

On the HK pic it shows no home arrow... but under the files tab someone has added screen shot of it with a home arrow. Not sure if this is an update or different mode... or just BS :P
I've got a spare suppo, less GPS? ?
I'll check in the morning.....
Minimosd and gps with the mwosd firmware?

I converted one of these last year , works ok but its a bit of a pain to solder - you'll also need a usbasp programmer
There's a thread about it on rcgroups http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2123788 (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2123788)
I much prefer the MWiiOSD and the micro minimosd board. Much easier to work with and you can use the popular Ublox Neo GPS which work much better than the crappy thin on the HK one. Cost is about the same or maybe cheaper :P

I had a look and it appears to be multi rotor only :+
The suppo does look good but he was looking at spending more like £25
Tim & Steve... any luck with the spare parts? ;D
I just looked as well Adam
Think they must have sold out, I know a few of us down here have them, bit of a bitch to set up cause instructions in Chinese, I'll look around and see if I can spot it
Cheers
I had a quick look this morning but wasn't where I thought it might be - will be able to have a better look this weekend.
I think mine is the Tiny v1 suppo (pigeon) Skylark thingy!! Less GPS.. I have other GPS units but not sure if compatible and they are more expensive than the osd & original gps itself!
Just like Steve... give me until monday :D
Thanks guys ;D :grouphug:
You can use the mini osd from HK, comes with GPS for 25.
Then you can use the adammx configuration app over on rcgroups. There is a video on the tube and I have to say it looks ok.
You can't connect it to a flight controller though.

Yeah i found that and it seems a great option, but a fair bit of faffing for my very on techie dad  If the guys on here can't find their spare bits I think that's what ill do. Just need to order a USB programming tool too.

You need good soldering skills as you got to solder 6 wires onto 6 pads that are very close to each other, but that's basically it.
skylark, about £50 from banggood. doesn't need much setting up either.
