Title: Der-brain
Post by: MarkLloyd on March 20, 2016, 05:50:27 PM
Got out for 8am this morn' and had 3 great flights with the Venturi on a lovely sunny Spring morning.

Then tried out my easystar which I've just fitted with ezuhf & 1.2g .  Only realised after launching and a hard to control plane ( that I didn't know was trying to RTL about 30m up)  that I'd forgotten to attach the antenna to the EZUHF module.  It was off for about 2 minutes.  I tried again antenna attached to see if it was still working, which it seemed to be, but didn't go far as the new 8ch 1.2/1.3 fatshark module I was testing too was giving as sh*t results as the laserbgc it replaced.  So maybe I've buggered the EZUHF  JR module, maybe not  .

anyone know whether range be the ultimate test as to whether the EZUHF  is damaged or would it just not work ?    :+

Anyway, just to round off what had been a good morning until the antenna incident,  I drove off with my lovely new runcam 2 still on the roof of the car and only realised when I got home.

I drove back to the flying site and luckily spotted the bright orange case about 50m away down the track...luckily undamaged, phew !  :D

If anyone else gets a runcam 2, definately go for the orange, I would never have seen the grey case so easily.

Apart from that, had a good morning    :D       then back to normal life,  spent half the afternoon clearing out and at the local tip  :(    grrr

It's your fault Mike, this is what happens when you go on holiday and I'm left to think for myself.... :D

Whoops :)

Glad you got the camera back. If you have damaged the EZUHF then yes range will be reduced.
