Went out today with the idea of doing a few goalposts with the Hornet - really loving this little wing. Tried a few more gaps and seemed to get away with it - building up lots more confidence in how it flies

What kv motor? Sounds like a 4s on a wing but I suppose you're using a high kv 22xx motor aren't you?
I've got a Raven and thinking of giving it a go on 4s. Would probably need a new motor though as it's got (I think) a 2212 emax thing on it.

It's just using the stock motor that Flyingwings.co.uk provide which is an 1806-2280kv, so there's not really much power at all, but it is pretty light at about 235g. I keep thinking I must do something on 4s, but all my planes are 3s at the mo

It's a cheapie CMOS thing that came with the kit - it's fine as long as the sun is in the right place, but I wouldn't recommend it. Example -
Going into a turn

Or possibly you have a thin smear of vaseline on the camera lens? LOL.
Can't think why it should be so blurry...Camera focus? Camera settings? Cabling? VTX knackered?

It looks to me like you may be out of focus.
For sure... the lighting is bad. But gli suspect more at play.
