Title: It's all down to me
Post by: beesleyboy on March 29, 2016, 11:47:29 PM
I would like to apologies for this rubbish weather we have been having lately,  I think it's because I have a new quad I want to fly,  from the moment it arrived the weather termed pants.
Sorry.

So all we have to do is ask you to get rid of your new quad - throw it in the nearest river or sea maybe - and good weather will appear.

Go on then Gordon, one, two, three ...... heave!   It's only an Inspire anyway !!

Nope, I won't let you take all the blame... This all started in early November when I built myself a Tricopter... That's why the weather went to 5h1t3

I've been saying this for ages but I think it's time to become an "all weather" pilot and simply embrace the wind - I'd fly so much more (and probably become a better pilot anyway).

Having said that, it's not exactly feasible to do when it's raining - although I think it was marcin who made a sponge wiper for his flight cam a while ago that worked really well!

Wind isn't an issue for me really, my 2+Kg skywalker can handle it... like you say, it's not really feasible to do it in the rain.

strangely enough, not so much because of the airframe, but mostly due to the fact that I get wet and so does my ground equipment. I've flown my walker through clouds (guess what guys... they're made of water) and it's landed fairly wet with not many issues caused.

haha, yeah, I remember... he had a fixed wiper/sponge thingy and simply put his cam on a 360 servo to spin round and wipe itself against the sponge... brilliant idea.

I can now guarantee you all two weeks of perfect flying weather as I am going offshore again.

Make sure you make the most of them cos when i get back it will all go to crap again.
