Well after having a temper tantrum with my Skywalker which seemed to love to fly in circles for some reason, I literally ripped everything out and rebuilt my Bixler.
Spec:
- Bixler 1.1
- 4s 2200mAh 60C battery
- 2650kv motor
- 40A ESC (may not be enough!)
- 6x4 APC prop
- Cyclops Tornado OSD
- Frsky 2.4GHz control
- Immersion 5.8GHz 250mw Vtx with Spiro powered by 3s 1000mAh battery
- VTX on the wing
- HS1177 camera on "pan"
- GPS on the centre of the fuselage, with control board mounted externally for easy OSD config while it's all powered up
- Mobius on the wing screwed onto a 8mm nylon bolt so that it can be turned for different angles depending on what I want to capture
- GoPro mount on the fuselage so I can choose to have the Go Pro on without compromising the CoG
- Custom airspeed sensor holder donated from the foam of my X5 wing

Looks good :D But what was up with your Skywalker :(
I'm not sure Adam .. I *think* one of the wings is slightly warped, I can't get it trimmed even in manual mode and it balances perfectly on the ground so it's not a weight problem.
That looks the part Steve.
Good dollop of black tape on there, good to see mate :)
Back to my best :D
wouldn't be a Steve W plane if it didn't have tape on it :)
I told you about those skywalkers lol... seems you were having the same problem I was... I too could not get the damn thing to fly in a straight line.
The only time it did, was in stabilised heading hold mode on the Vector... but because of the out of whack surfaces and the inability to trim the thing properly... it would fly in a straight line.... but only if the plane was tilted over to one side in the roll axis by about 10 degrees lol... it was flying in a straight line but sideways lol
That is exactly it - PA could hold it if I enabled heading mode, but it caused the OSD to oscillate because as far as it was concerned it was trying to turn so it was fighting itself
