The man is a legend. Slightly unhinged but a legend none the less!!

When he fell off and instinctively put his hand almost into the spinning blade of death I did cringe a little :)

More power, a lot more guards and he's onto something for sure :)

Not luck needed- he's been building and playing with machines for years way before youtube. He's passionate and puts in the hours. Good for him :)

Very cool device. He just needs to learn from ghetto drone rabble and build a quad version. More lift and stability then. Maybe some small electric motors wired to a kk2 board to allow micro adjustments for stability.

Why a quad version?

Mind you it's not a new concept. I remember this a while back..: http://www.hover-bike.com/MA/the-hoverbike/how-you-can-own-it/ (http://www.hover-bike.com/MA/the-hoverbike/how-you-can-own-it/)

GD, I remember that I actually built a rc quad using the same concept... handled like a five bar gate in a gale but when the motor arms where folded out to a more conventional setup it flew  (well for a quad that is)
but fair play to Colin, I love his sense of intercorse all that safe shite  lets have a go

All new inventions have to start somewhere. If the Wright brothers had to consider public liability and some kind of insurance if things went wrong, we'd still be stuck rolling around on Mr. Dunlops creations.

I say its good to throw caution to the wind and have a go. You either end up on the Darwin Awards top 10 and forgotten about or your name will be remembered forever in the history books.
