I have a theory that actually F1 has always been usually a bit rubbish but people have selective memories and they only remember the handful of good races with the remaining 95% of tedious ones erased from their minds.

F1 lost its appeal to me many many years ago now. Its so boring now I cant get through a race anymore.

Naa Touring cars is where it's at !

Proper racing, several short races, real cars, "rubbing" does not disintegrate a car and is almost encouraged :)

Definitely! We've been to a few race meets (Rockingham's the best IMO) and the atmosphere's brilliant, all the drivers are great with the kids and everything's so accessible, compared to what a few hundred minimum quid doesn't get you at an F1 race.

For real racing though you can't beat the World Endurance Championship.

100% agree with you Coyote, I love watching the touring cars - maybe it's because they're "sort of" within reach of us mere mortals without bags of cash.

Never really liked F1, it's always been too clinical if that makes sense - I prefer the rough and rumble racing of touring and old rally cars

I was at Croft for last season's BTCC race, absolutely loved the atmosphere... Like Steve W says, it feels like it's within reach without having to be a millionaire
