The guy was really lucky.

First off he managed to stay calm in the face of crazy -it'd be super easy to start getting angry when someone is walking away with £££ worth of your stuff and yet you can't lay a finger on them because you're the prime suspect here (drones are bad, mmkay?)
Second, the GoPro was recording evidence that would have assisted him but I'm guessing he didn't realise
Third, the crazy didn't realise the GoPro was recording, otherwise she'd have turned it off and caused him problems.

I got pretty angry listening to this - I hate people like this, nothing going on in their lives except to make mountains out of molehills, the victim mentality. Hey, at least she got her Facebook selfie with the drone.

If this was my video I'd be using her name and finding her on Facebook, setting up a group in her name etc and posting it online for everyone to see. She can't deny her way out of this one, it'd be priceless.

On the FB thread, she has already been found.  ;D

There were a few moments during the video when I would of lost my cool with her probably. A lot more risky doing that in Merica tho I guess.

I've been told she intended to cash it in for 12 Cheeseburgers and McFlurry :)

I wonder what the wrozzers would have said when seeing the vid?

He did well to keep his cool. Where did her supposed husband disappear off to while she was being "hunted down" by these violent FPV vigilantes :)

it took her ages to walk over to the miniquad... she was a dot on the horizon in the footage, so there's no way it crashed "5ft from her".

She wandered over, smiling and in absolutely ZERO distress, took a photo/snapchat (or whatever) and casually picked up the miniquad. At no point, up until she started talking to the "authorities" did she appear in distress or any kind of a victim.

By the time the authorities arrived she had gone full blown crazy and hysterical... purely for show.

I'm so happy he put this video up. How many so called drone incidents might have actually happened similarly to this? but with no video to back up the claims of the "drone" pilot.

What a mental.

"Literally 5 feet from me and my dog"

She nicked his property. He was calmer than just would have been.

When I realised I had video evidence, I would have tried to entrap her and encouraged her to make a statement it nearly hit her. then I would have hit her with the video evidence.

I think you doubt yourself a little when someone gets like this. You start to wonder if you did fly a bit too close by mistake. The guy was just happy to diffuse the situation and get his quad back.

I had someone report me to a park ranger for "nearly taking their head off". I thought i'd kept well clear of everyone but started to doubt myself when I was told this... So i went back and watched all of the HD footage to find that the person was just like the one in this video. They had lied, I went nowhere near anyone. I don't really understand why some poeple are like this, but they are  :+

Similar thing happened when I had to ditch my skyhunter out in the countryside. I made every possible effort to bring it down safely, but also near to a feature I could recognise from google maps. I chose a large fenced off field with no animals inside, near to a large farmhouse that had a prominent road leading to it.

When I went to ask the owner permission to go into his field, he was claiming it landed 10 ft from him and nearly hit him... but let me go and retrieve it anyway. I was very apologetic and made sure we were on good terms before I left.

When I got home and looked at the GoPro footage, it was very clear that he was lying... he wasn't even in the field, no-one was. I'm not sure why people feel the need to make stuff up like this. If he would have gone to the police with these claims it would have been very embarrassing for him, thankfully he did not and all was well.

that's just it... they don't.

But I reckon if they did realise they were being recorded they'd kick up even more of a fuss, privacy and all that.

At the end of the day, as long as we're responsible enough to cut individuals out of our videos and only use footage/recordings of their actions in defence of their claims, we should be OK.
