Title: Sky Eye
Post by: Kris_po on June 16, 2016, 08:11:03 PM
Hi,

I just finished building my SkyEye,in the 'eye' I've had installed a camera gimbal which I design and printed out. Everything is controlled by AP eleres, inside installed video transmitter 5.8GHz 600mw, 2x4Ah 3s batteries + video battery. Now I'm waiting for nice weather to fly.

Like it. A Bixler with a bubble - cool!

Its massively larger than a bixler in real life.

I had one. bought it smashed up off ebay and had some fun with it.

FYI you can run a 3  bladed prop for a bit more thrust or even a motor extension which raises the motor higher, allowing you to use a lower kv larger prop combo for a more efficient setup. buy them from the US somewhere.

I liked mine. lovely glide slope and reasonable capacity.

it didn't like being over loaded though and was surprisingly CG sensitive.

Looks good Kris_po, not a fan of the reflective domes though personally.
