My poor old wing wing suffered an FPV cam failure just after launching last night, there had been thunderstorms all afternoon that had left the muddiest field in the world a bit muddier, I just managed to get the goggles off just in time to watch it go in..... Luckily my mate was wearing boots(I cunningly had trainers on) and he kindly did the walk of shame for me ;D
The elevons were both torn at the ends, there was a crack running down the back of a wing joint and then randomly through the foam, the control horns(the type with the push over 'rachet' plates on the back) had come loose and when I took the dead board cam off the entire crumpled nose came with it.

Thing is I love my wing wing and keeping it going is just something I do :P It is now probably 25% glue and tape and should go in the bin but I fixed it, put a new cam on and it's off out flying again tonight with a slightly higher ratio of hotglue to foam.....
What's your most knackered plane? Do you repair or bin?
OOPs.
I did take your advice though and bought one of these.
I also bought the patch antenna from HK for when I go over to 1.2.
I'll keeping an eye on the winds over the next couple of days and might get the Talon to the field.
Mark.
I normally bin it and transplant the gear into a new airframe I've often got lying around after guy on here point out mega bargains lol... but this one...

It's 'clean' and 'fixed' now lol.
Based on my extensive experience, most planes can fly with a quick bit of tape stuck on after even the most serious accidents.
What stops them from flying is not being able to retrieve them from dangerous locations such as trees, dykes, bushes, streams etc.
Which is why I keep a small ginger child ready for such eventualities.
