I do like that :)
Slightly concerned it will be a pig to fly. It's quite heavy!
Will find out soon :)

Beautiful! The end.
Yea but it's got two massive wings, it'll float like a butterfly :) Think these are fairly twitchy on the roll though!
Not so massive. Only 1m wingspan.
Compared to my hyperbipe it's a brick!
Will see soon enough if it flies well. Certainly looks the part!

I'm surprised you put the cam so far back what's it like looking through all that?
I would also be concerned about the mobius focusing on the wings and not the view beyond.
Pretty well all action cameras are fixed focus, it'll be fine. The only thing I'd be concerned with on a design like that is maintaining the correct CG. I had that problem with my SE5A, ended up needing a chunk of lead in the cowl to counterbalance the camera and pan servo.
Camera is intentionally in that position.
You will note the lens is quite close to the position the pilots head would be. Just a little hight to help with field of view.
This is all about getting a 'full size' experience. It's important to see the plane as the pilot would.
Agreed on cg. But no major issue. :)

another video showing how nice it is in the air..

I like that rob
It's lovely to fly.
Biggest issue I have found is that it burns power really quick!
You get about 4mins power on a 2700mah 4cell.
I will be propping down a size to see how it performs with a little less thrust!

Hi Rob.....I watched the live dvd feed....Honestly, I dont know how you fly it with such a limited view, I know I couldn't do it...even with a head tracker...LOL.....So, well done m8....Its nice to see something different than the foamie swarm....:)
PS...I dont think using a smaller diameter prop will help reduce consumption, these Bipes like a big prop, but like all Biplanes, they come with a lot of drag....Better to just fit a larger Lipo, its not like its not got the wing area...?
:vulture:
Lol... The flying part is the easy bit. Mind... I would not want to fly it in a small field!
Power wise.. Mostly it runs on 1/2 throttle. So my hope is to allow full throttle range without chewing the battery. Will see how we get on!
No chance of a bigger battery. Just not enough space.
