You may have seen my 42" wing (a 60" Zephyr 1 with the Middle third removed).
I have burnt 4 batteries in her now and she flies fairly well- my main complaint is she seems to drop several metres during a gradual 180 degree turn. Why is this? She has wing tips on.

To me the most likely reason is a wing loading that is on the high side, coupled to a cog that's not perfect.
When your aircraft banks.. You have a reduction in lift. Net result.. You loose height.
You combat this by applying up elevator in the turn.
So...
To resolve.
Does it occur at high speed? Speed increases lift and should mitigate the effect.
What's your elevator response like? Is it mushy.. Or twitchy?
With a wing.. You want to get the cog it as far back as possible.. Keeping reflex to a minimum. This will make the model a whole lot more sensitive.. So be prepared for dual rates.
I suspect you have a very forward cog and high wing loading.

Wing loading wasn't crazy- about 1400g on a 42" wing. I did lump an extra 2200 3s on it for 12V video so it could have been 1600.... but I think it was doing this before......
But it could have been nose heavy I haven't fully tuned it yet.
The wing isn't that fast- it happened about the same at full throttle. But full throttle isn't that speedy tbh. I'm guessing she was doing about 40mph full throttle.
Elevator wasn't brilliant tbh. Further suggestion of nose heaviness I guess!
