Title: Don't you just hate this!
Post by: Paul881 on August 28, 2016, 01:29:46 PM
I have had a work induced break from flying for about eight months so I get everything back out of storage and start to charge batts etc. then I find out that my Lumenier mini-DVR won't switch on even from the mains adapter. And now my GoPro 4 has an intermittent fault which means I most often get the dreaded SD ERR message. And it's out of warranty. Grrrr >:(...

Hooray!  GoPro have agreed to replace my Hero4 even though its out of warranty. ;D  GoPro's have two years warranty in Europe and only 1 year everywhere else so be aware. Mine was bought in M.East over a year ago but within 2 years. Anyway, thats one problem less. ;)

For general info, since October 2015, everything purchased in the UK has a 2 year manufacturers guarantee against manufacturing defects and unrealistic faults in operation. More info here http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act#supply-of-a-service

The change in the law was not well publicised but it is a huge change.

Whenever I'm not going to be running a plane for a while I periodically power it up and give the servos a wiggle - not sure if it does anything, but in my mind it stops them from seizing up
