Title: Fibre broadband
Post by: jono44 on September 06, 2016, 03:48:11 PM
Anyone use Vodaphone fibre broadband they don't have any line rental charges.
I want to get rid of sky tv package as i never watch the thing plus it's crap full of repeats, I can get all that with just streaming high speed unlimited broadband on the net and save myself £30 a month.

This is something I'm interested in actually - I have Vodafone for my mobile and am on a 20Gb 4G plan for £18/month - it's super fast.

The ONLY reason we have a landline is because of the broadband. If I could get rid of it I would in a heartbeat. ANd I don't even pay for my broadband (a friend gives us Employee Broadband as he works for them lol) but it's stil £97 a quarter just for bloody line rental.

Im with voda phone mobile at £13.20 a month with only 2gig of data everything else unlimited, so for unlimited fibre up to 38mbps for 18months it would cost me £22.00 and it still includes a home line. Im paying £60 month for sky bullshit package

Interestingly I was also looking at this a month ago. I was with Plus.net Fibre up to 80mbit and it was great but was £40 a month all in.

sse.co.uk do a deal of £21 per month for line rental, up to 80mbit unlimited BB and calls which we're using now. However the broadband is provided by Daisy who aren't known for their good service. Time will tell.

Ok well after having an online chat with sky, it seems they don't want to lose subscribers and will offer you discounts on your package. After asking me numerous questions about what i watch and what can we do for you! They took my prIce down from £59 a month to to £55 then £48 for slightly less channels. I said i just want fibre broadband. They then offered me that for £34, after saying i may as well go for vodaphone they took the price down to £27.50 lol. I excepted that for 12month contract rather rather than an 18 month one from vodaphone at £22. MORAL OF THE STORY. Stick to your guns and play hardball.

You all make me so sad. I would dig the hole for the fibre myself with a plastic spork if BT let me  :(
