Feeling guilty today. One of my chickens (the eldest one) kept roosting at our back door for the past few nights. I just thought she was being stupid, so picked her up and put her back in the coop.
Found her dead yesterday morning, infested with lice, which quickly made their way onto my arms and into my hair. They don't like humans so no risks really, you just feel a bit itchy.
I wonder if she was trying to tell me something.
Moral of this story, always provide a notepad and pencil for your chickens to leave you a note as to how they're feeling, after all they cannot articulate words!!!!
All sympathy aside, I wonder if it's possible to wire her up to a quad? They did it with a cat but chicken necks make amazing gimbals, might be a cool little project?
Steve ! :o
Poor chicken, she must have been trying to tell you but by the sounds of it it was too late anyway.
Chicken Gimbal :P
We've (me and the kids) have already tested the gimbal abilities of chicken heads although when you put them upside down their heads don't quite bend that far.
One keema naan, a beef rogan Josh and a chicken gimbal please.

Chicken Gimbal :P
Joking aside devices have been attached to chicken heads to collect data for stabilisation devices!
I can see a new range of quads hitting the shops called the DJI Bantam....
