Title: NightFlyer house fire.
Post by: Ratty on September 27, 2016, 02:17:47 PM
I am sure some of you will be familiar with Dave aka NightFlyer.

Sadly he had a huge fire at his house and has lost everything. Some of the history from the RC hobby is stuff that can never be replaced.

Thankfully everyone survived.

Man the USA is a screw up - if you read the GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/2r4wfxrf (https://www.gofundme.com/2r4wfxrf) it says that the insurance isn't covering the cost of... the emergency services, including the water that got used to put the fire out.

WTF???

I suddenly feel good about living in the UK again.

Yeah, imagine not having proper house insurance, though.  Maybe that's just the done thing over there but it seems crazy to me.
