I've been flying for a while now and have gone through a few iterations of my ground station. This is the latest.
Moved on from the single board strapped to the antenna tripod.
This is now a slick operation - well at least I think so. Still a work in progress.
check out all the features here:
I've added eagle tree eagle eyes, on the fist flight i realized it need white balance and it doesn't handle the plane getting to the edge of range very well. Will adjust some settings and see how it goes next time.

Good work you've done there... a little too complex for my liking :P
First time i've ever seen a pepperbox on a tracker \0/
Wow, you really like wood don't you?
I don't have the tools, the patience but most importantly the skill, to be able to build a tripod like that... I just bought one.
The great thing about this hobby, is that you don't have to be flying to be enjoying yourself. I find I get as much enjoyment and satisfaction from building and tinkering in the garage, than I do from actually flying.
Great work.
Yep - respect for that level of dedication and workmanship.
Doesn't it weigh a lot though? Wouldn't fancy dragging that to the field :o
Well at least if you get sick of carrying it you can use it to keep warm ;D
But yes, dedication indeed!
I like the effort and attention to detail that's gone into this :)
