Title: 800mm wing
Post by: beesleyboy on April 27, 2017, 11:22:29 PM
I was recently inspired by the Mini Race Wing, so I thought I might have a go at a depron one.
I have 3D printed an insert to holed the carbon rods, that will support the wings to the body, I haven't decided on a material for the body, perhaps nylon or glass fiber, more work to come.

Looks good G - might be a bit draggy unless you flatten the trailing edges a bit though

Nice job, I like Scratchbuilds...Looks like you sanded the LE nice and round, this stuff sands easily with the right grade of paper..
I still want to make my own Delta, bit like the Skyfun layout...

thanks guy's, still got the ailerons to go on Steve, they will me a bit thinner on the trailing edge, if I fined this material to be to thick, I will try some 3mm, I got a box of 6mm Depron, delivered by mistake, and the weather isn't that good at the moment for flying, so I thought I may as well use some and make something.

That looks awesome, looks like you've really got the building technique using depron down to a 'T'!

Look forward to seeing how it turns out.
