Title: Shorter than half-wave dipole options
Post by: chris-s on June 29, 2017, 07:22:00 PM
I need to make a 433 dipole for the telemetry radios on my mini talon, but I feel a half wave dipole is just too big. So accepting an impact on range, what shorter/smaller options do I have (excluding the basic rubber duck)? Can I make a quarter-wave dipole?

Cheers

Chris

You can make a 1/4 wave dipole, you could also make a loaded half wave dipole which is considerable shorter than its bigger brother.

Thanks for the replies, looks like another big nose order coming up soon then.
