Hope someone can help here ?. just finished building (mt) and when im in manual mode servos chatter a bit but thats ok . Problem ive got is when i go into menu all the servos bind really bad and doesnt stop until i exit the menu. I thought it was the rods being to stiff so have made adjustments there so the servo arms are more loose, which has helped only in stb mode and manual mode! but soon as i go into menu the binding of the servos is back and its bad because its drawing current according to the current sensor. The servos im useing are savox (sh055mg) are the same servos i used in the fx61 without any problems at all . Cant understand whats going on. Other than that im happy with the build but this problem when i go into menu? Can anyone throw any light on this please? cheers trevor.
binding or chattering? Savox chatter like hell in all my planes. Can you make it stop if you manipulate the control surface?
hi there yes when fiddle with the sticks but you cant do that when your in the menu becauseit will make adjustments which i dont want to do! But i have noticed that one of the fin servo wasnt centred so ive took the arm off and tried to centre it and its a little better.?
It's what digital servos do, they are always trying to find centre, I am sure that the majority of modellers have no idea just how much current 4 or 5 digital servos pull if they are working. Hence the number of brown outs experienced with spectrum. I had a similar problem on one of my big autogyros, it kept going into rx failsafe on the ground when I checked all controls before take off. I solved it by installing a much bigger flight pack, 1850 lipo, and a 10amp ubec. I installed a servo watt meter from hobbyking to measure the current flow. If it is flying ok and the issue is just on the ground when in the menu and nothing's getting hot, I wouldn't worry too much.
