Title: TBS Caiprihina II
Post by: Billy_boy_2010 on December 21, 2017, 06:55:12 PM

It's finally here. Based on happy flyers wipeout with a bigger bay and some cut outs.

Supposed to carry 5000 4s and 1400g weight.

Will struggle with that IMO but maybe tbs can fix it? I know ratty disliked his.

Big fat closed door to anyone not using a session-sized camera.

Very true. But they are high end and they have the brand name to get away with it. We aren't really their target market.

True. A bit of hacking and it would cope but I guess they have to commit to a certain form factor- or don't bother at all like a lot of the Chinese companies.

Seems a bit like the IPhone of the wing market. Will probably work a bit better out the box and look posher but you pay a hefty premium. That said, you pay a premium for any wing that comes from the states, most of the Team Legit, VAS wings are $130+ just for the kit.

Isn't the caipi 1 the worst flying wing ever?  :D
Heard endless stories of very bad flying behaviour, hopefully its not the same for version 2....

They fly really well unless you load them up ... they also need to be balanced laterally or they wag like crazy.

It's really hard to know if this is actually going to really be any better than any one of those dozens of other "FPV Racing Wing" designs that seem to get shat out in China every week.  Most of the people who buy these will swear that they are just because they paid three times as much but who really knows?  Really hard to find any decent reviews of these sorts of things.  So many of them come out and so many YouTube reviewers who seem to fly everything about once before spouting forth their opinions.  But given how sensitive they are to setup it tells you basically nothing except that it flies.

No. Provided they were built and set up correctly they were great. Especially for their time.
