Title: Help needed
Post by: parky on June 28, 2019, 07:43:42 PM
Been looking at gliders for a long time to fpv. I've decided to get a aws28 glider but can't decide what ap to put. I do have a vector and mfd ap spare. Is their other options with osd that's cheaper? I have seen on YouTube a aws28 with ardupilot the when in thermals it goes into loiter mode automatically. But not sure which board I need to do this  any help would be great

From what I have seen with ardupilot thermal huntingh the results were not great, I used MFD AP with mine ( Soplius glider ) and it was great theramalling, although I was in control learning to thermal rather that letting an AP do it. I just wanted a bit of stabilization for the footage and RTH. It worked great, but I did get bored with thermalling pretty fast.
