FY-31AP firmware V1.20 has been released

New update released yesterday
Feiyu product FY-31AP firmware has been upgraded to version 1.20.
It updates the following:
1.Under some special circumstance ,the aircraft may be shut down mid flight. This firmware will solve this problem;
2.Increase Fixed–Altitude Flight Mode and Fixed-Heading Flight Mode;
3.Improve the communication frequency configuration in the connection of half-duplex radio;
4.Change the default target speed to 64.8Km/h;
5.Increase the self-checking function of gyro, accelerometer and Input/output port.

This firmware is so important, please download to update.
Important point Bignose found out, you must recalibrate FY with jumper plug after the firmware upgrade

Ive just flashed mine, straight forward (ish)
You have to download the USB driver and install it first, then plug in the USB cable and manually instal it again ( Windows 7 )
Flashing was a bit of a worry, the first flash ( FY31 ) went fine, the OSD did not flash or did not display being flashed until I tried a few times

I'm a bit confused. I bought my FY-31 from Simon just over a week ago and it already has V1.20.
They must have known earlier, I had 1.15 on, but a few people reported it freezing mid air.

The more I read the more concerns I'm getting. It would seem that hooking it up to the GCS can have adverse effects as well. So for now I'm not going too, I don't use waypoints anyway, but some that have have ran into problems.

On the maiden of the Fy-31, the auto balance, auto circling and RTL mode worked well. However the Nav mode seemed to do a hard dive to the left.
However, today in the strong wind, all worked well. Am using the 2D map software. Can't wait for a nice calm day now to give it a go again. Need to instal a tiny telemetry though so I can us the Irc antenna tracker.

After today's posts on RCG I won't be plugging mine into GCS until its fixed. I have my endpoints set not to go into navigation. I'll wait to see if it gets sorted first
Now I'm confused
I had FY-OSD V1.3 on boot up screen, reflashed and everything went as planned but still have FY-OSD V1.3 on boot up screen, has mine been done???
The OSD firmware is different Simon, the newest version of that is V1.4 Simon.
The FY31AP firmware is V1.2 ;)

Probably a dim question - how do you know which version of firmware you have ???
Bought mine 2 weeks ago from Simon.
But windy about downloading software from FY - my virus protection (Panda) deletes the GCS .exe prog every time I donload it as it sees it as infected and / or a potential virus.
I havent tried downloading anything else apart form the TTL prog which works fine.
Any pointers ????

Oh another realization after Matt had some concerns, the really bad groundloop is present on the FY31. Remove the black wire on the current sensor plug. This removes the groundloop but the current sensor and OSD work absolutely fine still without running the risk of motor amps going through the FY which it did to Matt's friends

I am using a EZOSD - should I do anything??
Yes with the FY, the EZOSD uses a different connection so does not suffer this problem
What if I dont take out the black wire Ian, damage occurs ??
Same as the DOSD ground loop, the full motor current can go through the current sensors ground wire, back through your BEC melting the wires. Once the ground to the BEC is lost your plane cant power the rx or servos

Hi guys, i have a FY-31AP + Hornet OSD.
My plane fall out of the sky last year, so i havent used it since.
Now when i read this topic after some google search i understand this have to do with a error in my sw version.
My problem now is that i can not find the update file on Feiyutech's homepage or any other place.
My question goes out to all you out there Who has upgraded your FY-31AP.
Do you have the new version of the file? V1.2 or later, and would you be kind to share IT with me?
I also would like to have the v1.4 of OSD to.

I have 2 fy31AP and Hornet osd set ups that I have been using for around 7/8 years and have never had an issue with either. Rock solid so I would think I must have an original software version.
I have never seen any updates for it.
Will take a look at the version asap and post it up.

What i need is the file for upgrading the firmware.
