Title: Fisrt Clip Posted
Post by: Wowsa on June 12, 2012, 09:56:09 PM
This short clip is to show the image quality of a 700tvl camera I bought (buy now) on ebay for 24.99 in postage. It's from Sure Electronics and I've noticed they have now gone up to £32.00. It was not without problems eg connector blocks needed assembling and the lens housing needing screwing on very tightly for reliable operation (suspect PCB?). OSD default language was Chinese (easily corrected). I emailed Simon with the specs and he quite rightly pointed out that it would not be a commercial proposition due to the issues I'd identified. However, after messing about with the OSD and in particular opting for Anti CR in the White balance setting (whatever that means) -it turned out OK I think!! See what you think:

Nice quality for that price!
Does this camera have nightmode?

I'm probably going to buy this camera.

Tibot

Hi,

Not sure about night mode - the menus are not straightforward and there's no instructions. I felt it was worth a chance at £24.99, but they have now gone up to £32.00. It took a fair bit of fiddling to get mine working, so it's whether or not you want to take the chance I guess.

Cheers,

Wowsa

Okay thanks for warning me.
I'm thinking about it.
Also, do you use an OSD menu board to control the menu, or is there another way to do that?
Can you check if it has night mode if that is possible, please? That would help me very much.

EDIT: I just saw that the camera has a OSD cable shipped wth it, so no need for osd menu board.

Best regards,
Tibot
